The Ultra Sonic Rock Orchestra - A Night at the Rock Opera
The Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, from Boston, will present “A Night at the Rock Opera” June 26-29 on the Playhouse stage – 20 incredible musicians and singers present an evening of songs from the most decadent and glitter-crazed era of rock ‘n’ roll.
It is of value to note that the group's creator and driving force is Sal Clemente, Erie native, and brother of EP executive director Almitra Clerkin.

The Erie Playhouse is excited to welcome Emily Cassano to the Erie Playhouse Staff. Emily is the new Youtheatre/Education Director. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 2001, Gannon University in 2005, and NYU in 2007 with a masters in theatre education. We are eager to have Emily share her knowledge and love of theatre with the Youtheatre performers and families.

Sarah Roussos, EP performer, has been on tour with Hairspray and wowed home audiences last week as she danced and sang the lead role of Tracy Turnblad at the Warner Theatre! Way to go Sarah – "you can't stop the beat!" We’re proud of you!!
Congratualtions to Susan Paradise Baxter, Youtheatre parent, performer and former board member for being named "Woman of the Year" by The Women's Roundtable at the 21st annual Awards Banquet on April 16.
Julie Craig, another Youtheatre performer who has "gone professional," will be featured as Cosette in Les Miserable at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia. She is there thru August 3rd.
Vicki Glembocki, former EP actress, will be at Borders/Interchange Road on

Thanksgiving in New York City with the Erie Playhouse
Join the Erie Playhouse, and your hosts David and Judy Matthews, for Thanksgiving in New York, November 26-30, 2008. The trip will include round-trip coach transportation, two or three new Broadway shows (still being confirmed at this time but could include A Chorus Line, Billy Elliot, Curtains, Cry-Baby, Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Shrek, etc.),Thanksgiving dinner at the famous and fabulous Carmine’s Restaurant, and hotel accommodations at the Best Western President Hotel, 48th and Broadway.

Adult Acting Classes
Have you ever had the interest to perform on stage but didn’t know how to start? Think about the Erie Playhouse Adult Acting classes!
Acting classes will be offered for those 18 and older over the summer. If you are interested, please email Almi. We will get together and choose a time that will work for all involved. The first class can meet prior to the first Cattle Call Auditions for the 2008-2009 Season set for June 15 and 16.
