FRANKENSTEIN
The classic tale of horror and suspense debuts at the Playhouse Oct. 26-Nov. 7. Based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel, the play blends moments of brooding terror and sudden shock with questions of morality and the dangers of unrestrained scientific inquiry. Robert Greaves (pictured) will portray The Creature with newcomer Tim Romanski as Dr. Frankenstein.

From the Executive Director
Dear Erie Playhouse Patrons,
Your community theatre has been on the move these past few months. As you know, we moved our entire 30,000 square-foot scenic and costume shops from our leased location at 12th and Plum* to our new building at East 12th and Brandes.
This move was a result of thousands of volunteer hours to prepare the new spaces and move hundreds of thousands items - scenic flats, doors, drops, pieces of furniture, nails, and tools; every piece of costume clothing, pairs of shoes, hats, jewelry, pieces of material, needles and sewing machines; every prop, from flowers, telephones, kitchen utensils, to pencils, books, and stuffed animals. (Please see the website list of volunteers who helped with this project.)
Just this past August, 30 volunteers helped lift the dance floors of the rehearsal halls at 919 State and move them to East 12th and Brandes too. The cast of Frankenstein is the first cast to rehearse in one of two rehearsal spaces at this location. We will soon be finishing the second rehearsal space so the cast of It’s A Wonderful Life can begin their rehearsals. (These volunteers are also on the website.)
As always, the Erie Playhouse Family is made up of volunteers who go above and beyond their time on and around the stage. We could not do what we do if it wasn’t for them. Thank you all for your dedication to the Erie Playhouse.
In the November newsletter, we will announce our Open House dates for the East 12th and Brandes location. We hope you can stop by!
See you at the Theatre!
