From the Executive Director

From the Executive Director

Dear EP Family,

As we approach the second half of the 2009-2010 season, and an exciting one it has been so far, the staff is hard at work securing possible shows for our 2010-2011 season. We need your help!  As season ticket holders, walk-in patrons, volunteers and donors, it is vital that we have your input on what’s to come.

Richard Davis, Producing Director, investigates shows that are available to us as a community theatre, shows that we believe our audiences would like to attend and our volunteer talent would like to perform. Old favorites as well as new shows that have done well in similar-size communities across the country are researched. Richard orders perusal scripts for the staff to read (any EP family member can stop by to pick up a script to read), talks to the royalty companies in New York to get their input on Broadway favorites that may be released to community theatres within 12 to 18 months, and compiles the survey after show titles have been narrowed down to a manageable number.

Click here to take the survey or pick one up in the box office when you are at the theatre. Please take the opportunity to read over the show titles and descriptions. Complete the survey, choosing your favorites. Surveys will be available through the end of February.

Thank you to all who have already completed the survey. Your input is invaluable.

The EP staff is grateful for all constructive feedback we receive, solicited or otherwise! It only makes the Erie Playhouse a better place to work and play.

To all of you who are braving this chilly Erie winter, hang in there - Spring is not too far away!

See you at the theatre -

Almi
