From the Executive Director

From the Executive Director

Dear EP Family,

I want to take this opportunity to thank some of our wonderful volunteers for going above and beyond!

  • · Thanks to the cast of Willy Wonka Junior for performing at the Erie Children’s Museum Art Expo on February 15th.
  • · A purrfect time was had by all who attended Cats. A special thanks to the production staff, cast, and crew for your professional performance.
  • · A huge thank you goes to the audiences of Cats - 4,600 strong! We averaged 82% capacity – this is a big number as our audiences tend to average 60% capacity. If you liked what you saw, we hope you will consider the Erie Playhouse for future shows.
  • · Thank you to the local businesses and organizations who sponsor EP productions. So far this season we have had the support of BOB FM 94.7, CLASSY 100, Dermatology Associates of Erie, Erie Physicians Network, Erie Playhouse Wing, Gannon University, GoErie.com, Hamot, Highmark, The Housing Authority of the City of Erie, Iadeluca Chiropractic Center, JET-TV 24, Presbyterian Homes, and the YMCA.
  • · And last but not least, a special thanks to all the volunteers who helped prepare the first floor rehearsal hall for the February 23rd dedication of Cirino Hall, dedicated to 37 years of volunteerism by the wonderful Joe Cirino (pictured with Jim O'Leary) - actor, director, Board President, donor, season ticket holder, Wing member and so much more.

It never ceases to amaze me how lucky the Erie Playhouse is to have such dedicated volunteers. As we make our way through the remaining six months of our 92nd season, you will see these dedicated volunteers busy at work, starting with the opening of The Graduate on Friday. On behalf of the staff, we thank each one of you who gives your valuable time to the theatre for the entertainment and joy of our audiences.

See you at the theatre!
