New Year's Eve Gala - Around the World with Disney

The Erie Playhouse will sparkle with Disney magic in the New Year. Around the World with Disney is a glorious concert filled with songs and musical selections from favorite Disney shows and movies. In addition to the  full orchestra and chorus, audience members will be delighted with the video footage from Disney movies highlighted in the concert. 

Join the tradition at the Erie Playhouse on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31 beginning at 6:30pm with a pre-concert reception featuring sparkling wine and hors d' ouerves . Curtain time is 7:30pm.

New this year, is an added performance on New Year's Day.

Dec. 31 at 7:30pm - Adults $35, Students $25 (+ tax)

Jan. 1 at 2:00pm - Adults $25, Students $15 (+ tax)

Narnia

Based on C. S. Lewis' tale "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," Narnia is  an enchanting musical adaptation presented by the Erie Playhouse Youtheatre. 

The magical world of Narnia comes alive on stage when four children unexpectedly plunge through a wardrobe into a glistening forest kingdom of perpetual winter.

New for Narnia will be a designated performance signed for the deaf and hard of hearing.  Please check with the box office for the performance date and time.

On behalf of the Erie Playhouse staff, I want to wish you and your family the happiest of holiday seasons. You know, I‘m not sure if it’s because of working on It’s a Wonderful Life or if it’s because we are beginning to celebrate the holidays, but I believe we are all given the gift of life and are blessed with remarkable people who share that life with us. What we choose to do with what we have is the key to how wonderful our life truly is.

The Erie Playhouse is fortunate to be surrounded by a creative staff, an excellent board, talented volunteers, super audiences and generous supporters. The Erie Playhouse chooses to treasure each of you for your continuing gifts. Our gift to you is to present quality theatre year-round.

Thank you to Industrial Supply/Fluid Engineering and Heather and Hannah Steiner for some much-needed office and rehearsal hall equipment and supplies. Thanks a bunch!

Thank you to Erie Insurance employees from both Corporate Communications and Corporate Design & Publishing who donated their time to help out in our scenic shop on November 15. 60+ volunteer hours were spent folding drops (large painted curtains) averaging 40-feet in length and moving set pieces and furniture to clear a place for a first-floor rehearsal hall. The Erie Playhouse is a true benefactor of this after-work community service project and we are grateful!

Playhouse Family News

In 2007, the spotlights dimmed on four Erie Playhouse family members but we know their stars shine brightly above us. Our love and prayers to the families and friends of E. Clyde Snyder II, Mary Hollenbeck, Chad Klahr and our dear Laurel “Lolly” Mifkovic.

EP actor Steven Karns proposed to his girlfriend of three years Kelli Dombrowski in New York City this Thanksgiving. As they ended their skate at the ice rink at Rockefeller Center on November 23, Steven and Kelli stayed on the ice. Steven chose a song and, as it played, he knelt down and proposed. As Kelli answered yes, a thousand people cheered! Congratulations to the Karns and Dombrowski families!

Congratulations to the Sertz family. Danielle (Sertz) and Ken Wyman are parents to baby boy Cooper Sertz Wyman born November 11.  Ron and Emily Sertz are the very proud 1st time grandparents.

Playhouse family member, Cathi-GG-Mitchell, is the new Drug Free, RAW, 132lbs. and under, Masters 40-49 year old World Powerlifting and Single Deadlift Champion and Single World Deadlift record holder!
