SPEND YOUR LUNCHTIME WITH US
Can't wait to hear your Erie Phil in the Warner Theatre on opening night in September? Then stop by our Get Your Phil At Noon Summer Music Series which kicks off on Wednesday, June 30 in front of the Warner on State Street.
The first of three, FREE lunch-hour ensemble concerts will feature a Philharmonic string quartet fully amplified. Seating for the outdoor event will be provided or guests can bring their own lawn chairs. WQLN Radio’s Wally Faas will broadcast live from the event and hot dogs will be served!
The noon concert is the official kick-off of the 2010-2011 subscription campaign and Music Director Daniel Meyer will announce the season. The Erie Phil will offer a special subscription sale that day: New subscribers can buy one 2010-2011 subscription and get one free! Subscribers can save more than $400 during this special offer! Subscribers can choose the symphonic series (five concerts), pops series (five concerts) or the entire season (all 10 concerts).
The other two dates for the free concerts are July 28 (featuring a brass quintet!) and August 25. The Get Your Phil At Noon Summer Music Series is sponsored by the Erie Times-News and WQLN.

98% TO GOAL!
As the Erie Phil prepares to close the books on our 2009-2010 season, we have nearly reached our funding goals for the year. The season was an artistic success; now, can you help ensure a financial success too? Your donation of any amount right now will ensure that we end the year with a positive balance sheet.
More than 25,000 people experienced the Erie Phil this year through our Warner concerts, youth programs, lectures and regional concerts. Contributions account for nearly 50% of the money required to present these concerts, community outreach and education programs each year. You can make a difference by making a contribution today.
DINED, DANCED, TOOK A CHANCE
On May 21, about 120 supporters gathered for a fantastic evening of dining, dancing and games of chance for this year's spring fundraiser. Led by Darlene Lay and Peggy Schwab, fourteen women formed the dynamic committee that planned every detail of the evening. Lake Shore Country Club was transformed into a Vegas-style casino complete with table games, live music and a delectable buffet.
Event attendees used their winnings to take chances on an array of prizes including gift certificates, jewelry, trips, artwork and sports tickets. Special thanks to WSEE-TV 35 and WICU TV 12 for continuing as the major sponsor of our spring event for the third consecutive year. Also, many thanks to the hundreds of area businesses who donated items as prizes and to the donors and attendees who helped this event raise $25,358 to support the education and community outreach programs of the Erie Phil.
CALLING ALL RUNNERS AND RADIOS
You have three months to train for the Erie Phil's first Beat Beethoven 5K! The event will be held on Saturday, September 25 at 9 AM. The race begins and ends at the Warner Theatre and travels through the beautiful tree-lined West 6th and West 10th Streets in downtown Erie.
If you cross the finish line before the final note of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony, you'll win a free ticket to a concert! You can't beat that -- but hopefully, you can!!
The iconic Fifth Symphony will be broadcast live on Jet 1400 Radio and we need many volunteers to tune in and play their car radios, boom boxes, etc. while the race participants run or walk by. If you'd like to volunteer to play your radio along the race route, please contact Karen at 455-1375, x17.
