From the Executive Director
Dear Erie Playhouse Family:
As Sherlock Homes opens, Orson’s Shadow begins rehearsal and Footloose has auditions in this month of June, I am reminded of those of you who have made their commitment to the Erie Playhouse for next season with the purchase of your 2008-2009 season ticket. Thank you for your dedication to the Erie Playhouse!
I had a terrific visit from a season ticket holder last week. Mr. Brogdon stopped by the theatre to renew his two season tickets and add two more for his adult children. They are planning to make a family tradition of a night out with dinner and a show. He told me how impressed he was with the volunteer talent on stage and what a great outlet for young people to share their talents. He then held up his calendar and said he would mark down the nine nights he and his family would be at the Erie Playhouse next season. The Brogdons have committed to scheduling their busy lives around their Playhouse dates. In addition to season tickets, Mr. and Mrs. Brogdon made a wonderful donation to the Erie Playhouse annual fund. The generosity of the Brogdons and all of the Erie Playhouse season ticket holders and donors is the reason we are here.
The Erie Playhouse staff hopes you have a terrific, fun-filled summer and look forward to seeing you at the air-conditioned Erie Playhouse for three entertaining shows!
See you at the theatre!

P.S. The 2008-2009 Erie Playhouse Season Brochure will hit your mail box this month. Be on the lookout for it!

Greetings from the Wing
The Wing is a group of volunteers dedicated to providing their time and talents to support the Erie Playhouse. Chances are you’ve aided our efforts without even realizing it! When you visit the concession stand, buy a 50/50 or raffle ticket, or send a candygram, you are helping the Wing.
We conduct many other fundraisers throughout the year. Our members have sold Stanganelli’s frozen foods, Avon products, Our Own Candle Company candles, and many other fine products. Our recent “Cards & Costumes” Card Party was an elegant affair that was generously supported by many Playhouse patrons.
All of the monies raised from these events help us to provide much needed items to enhance the shows that we all enjoy. Recent purchases include a smoke machine, a xylophone, and wigs. The Wing also sponsors the Composer/Lyricist Series, the Showstoppers, and Youtheatre Camp scholarships.
Be sure to mark your calendar for these upcoming Wing events! On Thursday, July 17th, we will be holding a Book Fair Fundraiser at Barnes & Noble. Stock up on summer reading books for your children or beach reads for yourself and a portion of your purchase that day will benefit the Playhouse. Watch your email for more information. And in August, the Wing will sponsor a Family Fun Day at Pennbriar, featuring an appearance by the Erie Otters.
Thank you for your continued support of the Erie Playhouse Wing. We couldn’t do it without you!
