Tennessee Backporch Christmas Show

Erie's favorite hometown band presents their Christmas show - Follow the Star Christmas Tour on the Playhouse stage Monday, December 7. Band members include Chris Moore, Julie Moore, John Caruso, Tom O'Camb and Calvin Bowers. All seats are $10. Click here for more information.

New Year's Eve at the Erie Playhouse

Mainstage Auditions

The third group of Cattle call auditions will be held  January 31 and February 1 at 6pm at Cirino Hall, 1158 East 12th St. Shows auditioning are the musicals - Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Forbidden Broadway, The Music Man and the play - Tuesdays With Morrie. Click here for more information.

Disney's High School Musical 2

The kids from East High are back in this delicious musical treat presented by the Youtheatre. It's the end of their junior year and a promising summer stretches out before them when the entire Wildcats gang shows up for work at the Lava Springs Country Club. Tickets on sale December 14.

Marquee Renovations Underway & Recycling Fundraiser

If you've driven past the Playhouse this week you may notice that our facade renovation continues. As part of this "face lift," our marquee will also be renovated. The marquee renovation will provide an opportunity for theatre patrons, friends and Playhouse family to own a piece  of Erie Playhouse history by sponsoring a light bulb for $25. If you sponsor four or more bulbs, your name will be up in lights! To date we have sold 565 light bulb sponsorships - our goal is 1,000!  We still need your help to make our goal. RECYCLING FUNDRAISER!  For the next three months Lincoln Metal Processing (1602 Selinger Ave. - just west of Yorktown Center) will accept any metal and donate the amount you would receive to the Erie Playhouse. They will accept ANY metal. In addition, for aluminum cans, they will add an additional 5 cents per pound. When you go, simply tell them to donate the amount to the Erie Playhouse.

Wing News

The Barnes & Noble fundraiser held right before Thanksgiving was a huge success – thank you to everyone who made a purchase to support the Playhouse! Going on now is a candle sale from Our Own Candle Company. See any Wing member or High School Musical 2 cast member to place an order. Priced at just $8 for a 16 oz. candle, all orders will arrive in time for holiday giving.

Wing members will be wrapping holiday gifts at the Millcreek Mall at the kiosk outside of JCPenney on December 8th, 9th, 22nd, and 23rd. They will wrap your gifts for a small donation to the Erie Playhouse. Gift wrapping volunteers for two to three hour shifts are still needed, as well as gift wrap, bows, tags and other supplies. Please contact Anna Flanagan or Wendy Grafius to help out with this important fundraiser.

If you are looking for gift ideas, be sure to visit the Wing cart while at White Christmas. Beautiful crystal Erie Playhouse ornaments have just arrived and are priced at only $10 each. In addition, there are hand-painted holiday bricks, home-made mason jar candles for sale and decorative glass blocks. The Wing thanks all of their Playhouse friends for continued support and sends wishes for a very happy holiday season!

2010 Yellowstone Tour

Join Steve Ropski & Melanie Gustafson-Ropski on an exciting trek to Yellowstone National Park July 7 - 14, 2010. Steve, in addition to being President of the board of directors at the EP, is a veteran of many trips to Yellowstone and Melanie is a native of Montana.

don't miss Dance Elite*s Christmas Spectacular on Saturday, December 12th at 11am at the Millcreek Mall. Yuletide cheer will abound with this festive holiday song and dance performance!
Dance Elite* was formed in 2005 by Playhouse Family member, Brett Fallon. His main purpose is to provide quality song and dance performances at various community venues to those who would otherwise not have the opportunity to enjoy this type of entertainment. Dance Elite* also does dance therapy and dance outreach.
