Save the Arts in PA

On Tuesday, July 15 there was a  rally held at the state capitol to "Save the Arts" in Pennsylvania.  Arts advocates from across the state filled the rotunda of the capitol building in Harrisburg.  Representatives from NW PA included representatives from Arts Erie, VisitErie and the Erie Playhouse.  The state lawmakers are in the process of trying to pass a budget for the upcoming year. Many members of the house and senate want the "arts" eliminated from the budget.  We can't let that happen.  We are asking for your help in contacting your legislators and letting them know where you stand.  

Citizens for the Arts in PA is now conducting a "FAX the FACTS" campaign. They are asking you to send faxes, by Friday, July 17, to your legislators indicating your support of state arts funding.  They have created a letter template.  Send a fax to your legislators
