The hit movie starring Adam Sandler, turned Broadway blockbuster musical, opens at the Erie Playhouse July 31. From the Executive Director

From the Executive Director

Dear EP Family,

I hope your July brought lots of good summer fun! For those of you who chose the Erie Playhouse for Youtheatre Summer Camp and Prelude to a Kiss, I thank you!

I have only two requests for this letter:

Come to the theatre and bring friends!

I think I’ve mentioned to you before that only 30% of the revenue we need to run the theatre comes from tickets sales. The other 70% is from all our fundraising efforts, grants, sponsorships, government funding, memorials, earned income, etc. I would LOVE to see these numbers return to 40/60 or even better yet, 50/50!

Your ticket purchases reduce fundraising efforts. The more audience we have, the less fundraising we have to do. Just think – instant gratification for your hard-earned money. And, when you choose to make it a night out with family and friends, the benefits increase for both you and your Erie Playhouse.

Rehearsals for The Wedding Singer and Chicago have been a blast! The casts are enjoying the months they have put into the show so far. All they need is you, your family and friends to make the experience complete. I can promise you won’t be disappointed!

As a loyal EP family member, I encourage you to pass this newsletter on to your email contacts and let them know what you like about the Erie Playhouse. You’re the best!

See you at the theatre!
